Scientific Illustration
Scientific Illustration provides high quality illustration services to individuals involved in research, teaching and studies in the sciences. The scientific illustration dept. can convert your scientific data into the highest quality graphics for publication or lectures possible. We use a variety of software, hardware and mechanical tools to provide completed illustrations oriented to the specific needs of each individual client.
Rodney McPhail, Director of Scientific Illustration, has been a working illustrator in the Biology Department since August 1995, specializing in computer graphics since 1989 and received his M. A. in Industrial Design, Purdue University, 1991.
My dept. deals with multimedia, web site design, high resolution color and black/white scanning (slides and flat copy), computer graphics, lab manuals, teaching aides, lecture materials, flyers, brochures, display murals and posters, color ink-jet printing, pen and ink drawings, image and formatting, publication preparation. (whew...that's a lot to do)
